All I want for Christmas......is?

Image
Hello Everyone,
So Christmas is coming & a week later there is New Years Eve, so it's a busy week for "Special" things. I love holiday themed makeup, there just something magical I guess you could say about it. If you are stuck for what to on the day or for any parties you may be going too. I have done 2 Christmas makeup looks & 1 NYE look.

So you have some looks you can take inspiration from, change them up to suit your style.
As for skin, & come to think of it I think I blogged about this last year too, but skin can impact on what your makeup is going to look like on the days them self (especially if there is going to those family Photo's ).…

Makeup Face of the Day (MFOTD) - Dark Purple Smokey Eyes

Image
Hello Everyone,
I woke up this morning & was craving to do a Smokey dark almost "goth" like eye makeup. So I knew this would be a job for my Sleek idivine Bad Girl Palette, since the colors in there are so dark & pigmented. It's been a long time in between dark looks for me I've been in a real neutral mode that it was quiet natural looking for most days, but everything can change & I wanted that to happen today.
Tomorrow I'm thinking of Pink Eyes with Lavender Lips, Oh my!!!! scratch that idea, lol :)

So here is the look I'm wear today, It a very deep purple smokey eye with barely there lips & cheeks, if you wanted to make this completely "Goth" like just skip the blush & add dark Red/Black/or Violet lips. But I wanted to still look alive today hence adding the blush & keeping it toned down with the lip color.

BLOG REVIEW - e.l.f. Daily Brush Cleaner

Image
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to do a quick blog review on the e.l.f. Daily brush cleaner, I brought this about a month ago, to replace my MAC brush cleaner which was finished, so I did need a new one anyways. So I thought I would try the e.l.f. one instead of repurchasing the MAC one.
So this is for spot cleaning your makeup brushes between makeup applications, I normally just spray about 3-4 sprays on my brushes & wipe them down on a clean face wash cloth. This is a great product to own as it saves you washing the brush everyday day.
Now e.l.f. claim there brush cleaner is an anti-bacterial daily brush cleanser for quick cleaning in-between makeup applications. Disinfects brushes to provide a fresh and clean application every time. Helps to keep your brushes lasting longer for extended use.
Being anti-bacterial would normally mean a strong over powering smell, the smell is not to bad when spaying it, there is an powerful "Clean" smell but it does go away & DOES not linger o…

1ST IMPRESSIONS - L'Oreal Matte Morphose Souffle Foundation

Image
Hello Everyone,
I tweeted 3 days ago about buying a new foundation the L'Oreal Matte Morphose Souffle Foundation. I have used it the last few days & wanted to share my 1st impressions of this foundation. Just for reference I have Combination Skin Oily T-Zone & Dry cheeks & it is acne prone skin too.

I brought this at Target, for 2 reasons I have wanted to try it for a while now & my Drugstore has not all the shades & also Target at the time was having 30% off L'Oreal face Products. So I picked this up in the shade 110 Rosy Ivory, this has a neutral beige undertone too it, not too yellow or too pink. I thought this was the best match for my skin tone which is a NW15 / NW20 in MAC Shades.
The product it's self is a "Souffle" mousse foundation, it's very light to touch has a slight spongy texture about it. I've only used the Sigma Stippling brush to apply it so far & this does a great job I will try other brushes & methods as I use…

Crush Cosmetics: HAUL Sleek, elf & More

Image
Hello Everyone, So yesterday Crush Cosmetics was having there last sale of the year, having 20% off your final shopping cart total. I was excited when I saw it so I ended up picking up some Sleek blushes which I have really wanted to try a few more colors, because up till now I only have the Sleek shade in Panto, Which is a very bright Orange shade so it's not that practical for everyday looks or year round either.  while I was shopping I also decided to buy a beautiful China glaze nail polish & some other stuff too.

So starting with the most amount I brought being the Sleek blushes, I ended up buy 4 of them, all different colors I did not want 4 from the same shade family this time.

Starting with the top 2 Flamingo this is a hot pink, Suede this is a nude cinnamon tan on the bottom is Rose Gold this is a Peachy/Pink with Gold shimmer, sounds a lot like the NARS Orgasm, which is what a lot that have used the blush from sleek compare it too, so I will be interested to see if that…

DECEMBER FAVORITES 2011

Image
Hello Everyone,
So the last favorites of the year!
Here is my December Favorites 2011 & again I have some really great products for this month that I have used heaps. I have really been into the nude & smokey eye looks this month, due to lots of christmas parties & everything eles darker looks have been a favorite too this month. With having my hair shorter too for the last 5-6 weeks I have changed what I have been using, I don't need as much product, hence why I have had a hair care makeover. :) For the rest they have been basic but real staples for my the last 2.5 /3 weeks.

BLOG Review - Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara

Image
Hello Everyone,

Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara doesn't that name just get you excited?! It did me so I brought it & have tried it for that last 13 days so nearly 2 weeks.  Now Revlon's theory behind this mascara is that it makes your lashes "grow" quicker & makes the lashes very full & lush looking with it's Plumping action.  If any of you remember or have brought the 1st version of this mascara the Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara, that was kinda the same idea just no pluming effect & the brush was different (more oval in shape). I had brought the old version (1st version) last year & used it a while but did not really like it all that much. But when I saw this I thought "Why not, it is on sale!"

So starting with the packaging it's a sliver tube with a Green/Aqua Revlon branding sticker over the top, which looks nice, but really says "Drugstore Item" to me. The cap closes well so it's very air tight, reduce the dryi…

BLOG Review - Rimmel Glam Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara

Image
Hello Everyone,

A few weeks back I was drawn to a new stand at my Local drugstore that contained new products from Rimmel, there were some new eyeshadow palettes new glosses & then this mascara called Glam Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara. I was very intrigued by the packaging, name & then fact it called it self 2-1 magic cap was just to much to resist. So I brought myself one in the shade Black.
So the theory behind this mascara is it's 2-1 Mascara or has Rimmel called it a "magic cap"
Now any product that has magic, perfection, wonder & so on, tend to draw most people in quicker hence why makeup companies apply these names to there products or sets.

As you can see above the package is very pretty the pink and glitter effect on the word night is a lovely touch, so for the packaging side I love it & it is well made too, the two brushes click together nicely & brush bristles itself are not hard or unnatural feeling when apply the mascara.
So you know there's…
